“Use adversity as a stepping stone to greatness in the midst of chaos.”
Jasmine Smith is a licensed professional counselor committed to providing a warm, caring, and non-judgmental atmosphere that allows children, adolescents, and adults to learn how to build healthier relationships with self and others by using obstacles as stepping stones.
Jasmine is passionate about guiding people through personal challenges, helping ease emotional burdens, and empowering people to achieve a healthier state of being. She is equally as passionate about providing skills to children to assist them in expressing their thoughts and feelings through play where they may have difficulty with verbal self-expression. In play therapy, “toys are the child’s words, and play is the child’s language”.
Jasmine has experience providing play therapy for childcare aged children, school based therapy for children and adolescents in elementary through high school, group therapy for adolescents responding to chronic stress, individual and family therapy to preserve and/or reunify families, and non-medical counseling support to military children and families. Jasmine also has experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy to individuals with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, abuse, difficulties adjusting, impulse control, relational/marital conflict, family/parental conflict, and trauma.
Are you tired of carrying the weight all by yourself? You no longer have to. Let Jasmine assist you through the obstacles called Life.
Jasmine is available for public speaking engagements and provides training on how to recognize domestic violence, as well as, how to recognize mental health concerns and suicide amongst children and youth.
